Peel

Games for a plane trip, no Wi-Fi needed

On a plane the Wi-Fi is slow, expensive or missing. A little preparation at home means the games your kids like still work at 10,000 meters.

Before you leave

  1. Install and open every game at home. Some games download extra content on the first launch.
  2. Test in flight mode. Switch on Airplane Mode and play a level of each game. If it complains about the internet, it won't work on the plane.
  3. Charge and pack a cable. Games with bright effects drain batteries faster.
  4. Bring headphones for the kids, for everybody's sake.

Why puzzles work well in the air

Puzzle games have no timer pressure (or let you turn it off), you can stop at any moment, and one level is a few minutes, which fits between drinks, meals and landing.

Peel on a plane

Peel plays fully offline: all 300 levels, the Daily Peel and Endless. The game is even about travel: every box is a parcel flying from country to country, and clearing boxes unlocks fun facts about 30 countries, which makes a nice talk on the way to a new one.

Questions

Does the Daily Peel work offline?

Yes. The Daily Peel uses the date on the phone, so today's box is ready without internet.

Is there a timer in Peel?

Only if you want one. The timer is an optional setting and is off by default.
